Muhammed Ali- My Inspiration

Image
I have an autographed, framed picture of boxer Muhammad Ali in my Fort Worth office. Why, might you ask? Ali was the first boxer to win the heavyweight championship three times, won the Olympic gold medal, and was named Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated. More than this, he was a good man. He took a stance against the Vietnam War even though it cost him his title. He was a civil rights activist ( recognized as the "Champion of Freedom for his powerful fight for equality, peace and justice) and stood up for the principle all men should be treated with dignity. He was funny, charming and loved people ( his training camps were always open to visitors and he rarely refused an interview) . Ali was as tough as nails in the boxing ring and outside it when it came to fighting for what mattered. He is a true hero of mine. Things I most admire about him: his dedication (persistent training and discipline to be the best), love of people (thereby emanating his charm and...

Trump Threatens Members of Congress with Death

Image
President Donald Trump threatened U.S. Rep. Jason Crow and other Democratic members of Congress with arrest and execution for a video produced reminding members of the military and intelligence community to refuse illegal orders from the Trump administration. Here is the video . In response to this video, Trump wrote on Truth Social: "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!" This is outrageous behavior. From a legal perspective, these folks are reminding government employees they cannot comply with an illegal order. They must follow the law. Trump sees this as treason. It is not. The President does not have the legal authority to tell people to break the law just because he is the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch. No one is above the law in the United States. Trump has gotten away with breaking the law to the point of abandon. His orders to demolish boats with countries we are not at war with, claiming they have drugs, is illegal. He and those carrying out the...

Trump Judge Appointee Strikes Down Trump's New Midterm Congressional Map

Image
Trump's federal judge appointee Jeffrey Brown struck down Texas' new midterm Congressional map (which would have given the Republicans 5 more seats in the House) ruling "Substantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map.” The main federal law against racial gerrymandering is Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. This law prohibits voting practices or procedures that discriminate on the baiss of race, color or membership in a minority group (identified in Section 4f2). This country has a long history or preventing minorities from voting. Due to Jim Crow laws, less than 100 years ago, only 3% of eligible Blacks were registered to vote. The Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the federal government or any state from denying or abridging a citizen's right to vote "on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." It is refreshing to see a panel of justices (2 of 3 being Republican) call Tr...

Trump and Epstein....

So Trump and Epstein were tight friends. Epstein claimed "I was Trump's closest friend for 10 years." Epstein was convicted of soliciting prostitution from someone under 18, and later charged by the feds for sex trafficking. Epstein is found dead in his federal prison cell in 2019 before the finalization of his federal charges. Two prison guards charged with watching Epstein the night of his death were charged with lying on prison records. The night Epstein was found he was alone as the prison failed to pair him with someone (as had previously been the case). Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell gets convicted of sex trafficking in 2020. She is sentenced to 20 years in prison but meets with U.S. Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche and is then given special accommodations in prison after giving him a rosy report of Trump. It is important to remember Trump denied a $130k hush payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels , but a jury found him guilty of doing so. Is it ...

Trump & His Bullshit Lawsuits

They say the best offense is a good defense. One thing I despise about Trump is his extreme dishonesty and abuse of the court system. He has a history of suing people, entities, companies and organizations as a weapon (not for legitimate legal purposes). The infamous Epstein 50th birthday card is a fact. When the Wall Street Journal reported on it (which has since been released in response to a congressional subpoena since the story), he sued them. Trump sued the Wall Street journal for defamation over this truth (truth is a defense and will set you free) for $10 billion dollars. As Ronald Collins reported, "When it comes to civil litigation, Trump is in a league of his own. By one account, Trump has been involved in more than 4,000 civil lawsuits over the years, ranging from business disputes to defamation and other actions. Even for someone like Trump, who has been involved in a variety of complex business ventures, that is a remarkable number of civil actions. One lesson ...

Trump is no friend to American Women

For a list of 73 things Trump has said about women please read here . Trump says he wants more female support, but has not changed how he talks about women on so many levels. Back in October of 2016, the Washington Post published the infamous tape where Donald Trump bragged to Access Hollywood anchorman Billy Bush “I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything… grab them by the pussy.” J ean Carroll sued Trump. A jury verdict in May 2023 found Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll. Here is a story on 20 ways in which the Trump Administration has harmed women and families. Congress has yet to relase the Epstein files but this we know: Epstein sent his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell an email reading, "“i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him , he has never once been mentioned,” (victim’s name redacted.) Time to release the Epstein files: ALL of them. It is sca...

Trump RX

How is this happening? Trump announces cheaper prices for pharmaceuticals on Trump RX. Why is it called Trump RX? Obamacare is not a real name. It is the ACA (Affordable Care Act)- Marketplace Exchange. Republicans came up with the term Obamacare for derogatory purposes. No government website should have Trump's name on it. According to NPR, "The website deals would only be accessible for patients not using their health insurance, according to one of the government officials briefing reporters anonymously. And even then, the discounted medicines might not be affordable because they're based on high drug list prices." This news comes out as the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), nonprofit organization that provides nonpartisan information on health policy, estmates 22 million Americans who get Obamacare tax credits will see their monthly premiums more than double on average. Oh- have to mention Trump pardoned his partner in crime, attorney (and former New York may...

Wednesday Nov. 5, 2025 A Great Day

The people rose up yesterday and there was a referendum on Trump. Trump does not represent the best interests of the country. He has made it clear, he only helps Republicans. Well, yesterday the people went to the polls and overwhelmingly voted Democrat (from Prop 50 in California to electing 2 Democrat governors in New Jersay and Virginia). All people matter. No post today. The election results are enough!

Court Orders Trump Must Comply With SNAP Benefits

Trump has threatened to withhold SNAP benefits (supplemental nutrition assistance program) until the government shutdown has ended. This is harsh. A decent human being does not jeopardize the nutrition and health of children and impoverished people to get his way. 2024 numbers show approximately 1 in 8 Americans receiving SNAP benefits. A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to pay the SNAP benefits. Despite the Court's order, Trump wrote on Truth Social (Tuesday) that SNAP "will be given only when those Radical Left Democrats open up the government, which they can easily do, and not before!" After the post, the White House now says it will comply with the judge's order. Why is the government shutdown? Why is Trump telling Republicans not to talk to Democrats? Both sides must agree to a budget bill. The Republicans do not have enough votes in the Senate to pass a budget bill without working with Democrats. The big issue preventing a negotiation is th...

Trump & the White House Ballroom Donors

Image
No surprise. Donors to Trump's White House ballroom have $279 billion in federal contracts. Some donors are being investigated by the feds. The donors were given an opportunity to remain anonymous (does not mean Trump doesn't know who they are). Among donors whose identity have not been released to the public are: health care companies Vantive and Extremity Care (seeking to shape Medicare reimbursement rates for their products), Wall Street powerhouse BlackRock (bidding to acquire a stake in Panama Canal ports & supported by Trump), and Jeff Yass, a major investor in TikTok’s parent company (who could benefit from a Trump-backed deal to keep Tik Tok running in the US). Building the ballroom (while destroying the East wing in its entirety without Congressional approval) is just another way to buy influence from Trump, the ultimate grifter (check out his lawsuits for not paying folks ). May history remember while Americans are suffering the second longest government shutd...
