Trump Pardons Big Time Drug Lord While Hypocritically Claiming to Go After Drug Traffickers in Venezuela
President Trump has officially pardoned Honduran ex-president Juan Orlando Hernandez who was sentenced to 45 years for conspiring to import cocaine to the United States. All this, while Trump claims he is going after the drug traffickers in Venezuela. Trump spirals out of control when confronted with the hypocrisy (according to the New Republic): “You’ve made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the U.S., can you say more about why you would pardon a notorious drug trafficker?” asked one reporter. “Well, I don’t know who you’re talking about,” Trump replied.
